This is an exciting time to join a fast growing and ambitious company, operating in a dynamic market. We are looking for a senior developer who has a record of delivering solid architecture solutions to join our backend development team.
The role will be focussed on project leadership and C# development but may also include development in a number of languages including Python, Delphi and PHP so experience of one or more of these languages and a broad programming background is desirable.
The development team are pivotal to the success of the business and comprise a very high calibre team of software developers and system architects who work in an environment where innovation and passion are key.
Your role will involve designing and developing Cloud solutions and hosted services using some of the latest technologies and solutions working closely with the Infrastructure and Networks teams to engineer infrastructure, platform and data-centre automation systems.
You’ll drive engineering best practices throughout the team and you’ll be constantly looking for ways to make the systems and processes better. You’ll be customer focused and understand the customers’ challenges and be constantly looking for ways to solve them.
You will have a flexible but thorough approach to your work and be capable of a wide variety of software development activities including systems architecture, business analysis, systems analysis, and application development.

Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong commercial experience in developing enterprise scale systems in C# or Delphi
- Strong relational database skills with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
- Experienced in creating high performance, scalable, secure and extensible software systems
- Proven experience with design and implementation of complex multi-tier, multi-language distributed system architecture
- Highly experienced in object oriented software design and development
- Have technical leadership experience or worked as a development / project lead on medium to large projects
In addition the following skills would be advantageous: Working knowledge of PowerShell, MySQL experience, working knowledge of PHP and Python, Microsoft HyperV, WDS, IIS7, Exchange 2010, knowledge of Virtualization technologies, experience with Spring framework and Hibernate, strong working knowledge of IP networking fundamentals, working knowledge of Linux operating systems, working knowledge of IIS and Apache webservers. An engineering or computer science related degree is preferable.
The senior developer will be responsible for performing business and systems analysis and leading project teams to deliver software projects, solutions and architectures on time. They will be required to produce robust, maintainable, secure and scalable systems.
The role requires close liaison with the project management team to ensure projects deliver customer requirements and with the QA department to review test cases and provide impact assessment of software changes.
